Classic AWS loop — intense, lots of loops, bar raiser the whole deal. Marcus didn't pretend it would be easy. He helped me prep for the LP stories and told me which team was actually hiring vs. which req was "evergreen." Transparency on comp was weaker; lots of "depends on level" without numbers until the offer. But he moved things fast once I cleared onsite. Amazon recruiting is chaotic and Marcus made it manageable.

Felt like Marcus was juggling way too many reqs. Scheduled my phone screen, then rescheduled twice with less than 24 hours notice. Final rejection came via automated email with his name on it — never a real conversation about what went wrong. Maybe I caught him on a bad quarter. Wouldn't recommend for candidates who want a human touch.
