Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Rate My Recruiter (https://ratemyrecruiter.dev) and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You may not use the Service if you have been previously suspended or banned.
• You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with laws applicable to you.

Rate My Recruiter is a community platform where users can read and publish recruiter-related reviews and related content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of user-submitted content.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.

To post reviews and interact with certain features, you must sign in with an approved third-party provider (such as Google). We assign an internal account identifier and a public display handle (for example, “Candidate-4821”).

• Public content is attributed to your display handle or as Anonymous — not your legal name or sign-in email.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• Do not share access to your account or attempt to access another person’s account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content, you grant Rate My Recruiter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and create derivative works of your content solely for operating, promoting, and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You have the right to post the content you submit.
• Your content does not violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
• Your content does not infringe the rights of any third party.

See our Community Guidelines for content standards. We may remove content at our discretion.

• Do not scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without our prior written permission.
• Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent security measures.
• Do not use the Service to send spam, malware, or automated abusive traffic.
• Do not misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
• Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

The Service, including its design, branding, software, and original materials (excluding user content), is owned by Rate My Recruiter or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission.

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

• User reviews are opinions and personal experiences, not statements of fact verified by us.
• We do not provide career, legal, or employment advice.
• We do not guarantee any particular hiring outcome based on information on the Service.
• Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RATE MY RECRUITER AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, IF ANY, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rate My Recruiter and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, pose a risk to other users, or for operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

To request removal of content you believe is unlawful, infringing, or violates our policies, contact legal@ratemyrecruiter.dev with:

• Identification of the content (URL)
• The reason for your request
• Sufficient information for us to locate and evaluate the content
• Your contact details and, where applicable, a statement of good faith

We review requests on a case-by-case basis. We are not obligated to remove content solely because it is negative or critical. We may forward your notice to the user who posted the content where appropriate.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
