Rate My Recruiter(“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to https://ratemyrecruiter.dev and related features. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

Account information. When you sign in with a supported provider (such as Google), we receive an authentication token and basic profile information from that provider as permitted by your provider settings. We store an internal account identifier and generate a public display handle.

Content you provide. Reviews, ratings, timelines, comments, reactions, reports, and company information you submit.

Usage information. Pages viewed, features used, approximate timestamps, and similar technical data collected through normal operation of the Service.

Device & log data. Browser type, general device information, IP address, and server logs used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. We do not display IP addresses or raw log data in public parts of the Service.

• Authenticate you and associate your activity with your account
• Display your contributions under your display handle or as Anonymous
• Moderate content and enforce our Community Guidelines and Terms
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
• Respond to support requests and legal notices

The following may be visible to other users and, in many cases, search engines:

• Review text, ratings, timelines, and outcomes
• Comments and aggregate reaction counts
• Recruiter and company pages derived from community submissions
• Your public display handle on content you author (not your OAuth name or email)

Your private profile page may show connection details from your sign-in provider (such as linked account type) only to you while signed in — not to other users.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, authentication, databases, content moderation tools) under contractual obligations to protect data.
• Legal & safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Content you post may remain visible after you stop using the Service unless removed by you or by moderation. We may retain backups and logs for a limited period for security and operational purposes.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

The Service may be operated from the United States or other jurisdictions. If you access the Service from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
