James helped navigate RBC's internal level codes which make no sense from the outside. Explained pension vs. base tradeoffs without being pushy about accepting. Hybrid policy questions got forwarded to HR quickly. Solid experience for a big bank recruiter — felt like he actually wanted to fill the role, not just collect resumes.

Bank recruiting moves slow — James set expectations on that upfront which helped. Process took six weeks for three rounds, very Canadian banking pace. He was courteous and followed up after rejection. Feedback was vague though ("cultural fit") which is pretty typical for banks. Not bad, not standout.
